Red knot
One from earlier this year at Fort DeSoto North Beach when I met up with Gail and Ann. A bit too early for full breeding plumage, but I still enjoyed seeing some colour in the bird

Hi Mike ... lovely shot with the wings lifted , nicely timed .
i do like the overall appearance of color , tones , details and sharpness ... well processed .
would prefer a bit more overall tonal depth across the whole range .... but not executed globally . just use three layers and push them individually ... just a thought from my side .
nice one and tfs Andreas

Fabulous wings-up pose with great detail. Love the transitional plumage. RP helps.

Ooh, love this, especially the repost! The only thing is that as posted the head seems oversharpened. The raised wings and combination of pale blues and beautiful oranges make this quite an appealing image.

Cheers Artie, I'm pretty sure it wasn't post-bathing and it definitely wasn't from a blast off- so I'm going with the wind raise!
