David, this is one of my all time favorite species. I have thousands that I haven't processed yet.
While they are certainly more stunning in breeding plumage, you caught this one beautifully. The silky water is so nice, but the plumage detail and pose are fantastic!
Well exposed. Only suggestion is that I would trade a touch more below (bit more room for the submerged foot) for a touch less above, but a truly minor nit.

Super shot, I like the processing, the pose and the foot with the droplet! Colours contrast and sharpening pretty much ideal, very nice indeed.

Great low angle, love the walking pose. What a shame he's not in breeding plumage (not exactly a lot you could have done about that!)
