Except for the mildly distracting BKGR in parts this one is superb. No sure how you would make it any better. right on sun angle and I love the raised wings.

Hi Jon, love the outstretched wings, truck loads of detail there, super plumage, but over sharp, note the obvious halo along the tail.
I might suggest a 16x10, keeping the same width but less above. Would loose the sand bar in the water, RHS just cleaner I think. I appreciate we all see things differently but it could stand a tad of perking up, especially the legs & grass, not sure about the missing foot?

Nice one Jon ... love the spreader wings and the landscape in the BG .
As this seemed to be a sunny day ... I would raise the exposure , just my take .
Color and tones quite nice with lovely detailed darks rendered .
if this was mine ... I would work again a bit on the greens , giving them a bit more punch . But yours is no deal breaker ...

Hi Jon, I really love this. You captured a sense of personality with the Puffin, almost playful like.
Really nice angle to the lens and light, as Artie stated. The foreground grasses really frame it nicely.
I would beg for a touch more color pop on the orange on the head and feet - you know us Westerners :-) But overall, a joy to view!
A nice frame Jon, glad you kept in the reflected colours on the belly, sometimes tempting to reduce those, good call here
