I like how the head/eye are sharp and the rest is OOF. The colors are good, too. I think you did pretty well with the crop but I'd like something a little different. Problem is, I can't come up with either a vertical or horizontal that I like from the image. I just can't put my finger on what might be a bit better. One good thing about local birds like the flamingos........you can keep going back and trying lots of compositions.
I think it is the missing piece of neck that's bugging me...the rest of it is gorgeous. Good DOF, nice BG, good sharpness on the head and eye.
Yes, the clipped neck bugs me too but this is an awkward COMP... Not sure how to handle it either... Sharp and good EXP.
