Back to the hide..... and this time I concentrated on the Jays.....They were squabbling, fighting and being aggressive most of the day......This gave me a great opportunity to get some great interaction.....Gimbal on a plate.....ACR, Topaz DN and PS....

Hi Will, a classic from the location.

Good you kept the SS high for the action, was the image slightly under exposed? Think you can up both Vib & Sat, the plumage tends to be richer IMHO. Is this with the whole AF activated and do you have Exp Sim activated in the viewfinder?

Glad the weather was fair for you and the subjects co operated.

Looks spot on to me Will, it's my guess these are juveniles in which case they would not be quite so colourful as mature birds. Great action spot on focus and super details.

Thanks Steve and Jon.......It is exposed slightly to the right Steve.......I have allocated different buttons to 2 types of focus.....This was with whole AF.....works real good... and yes to the Exp Sim activated....

hi Will a very cool action shot .
love the aggression and the defending pose of the subjects .
framing , detail , sharpness and overall tones looking good .
personally I think the colors are a bit thin ... matter of taste .
