hi Joe .. super flight pose and I do like the pink on white .
not sure what you did to the details of the subjects ... to me they look funky , would like to see a version without these artifacts .
will look better I think .
I might try a high key image including the subject , see how that looks .
all the above for sure my personal opinion

Sadly no Joe ... to be honest .
what bother me is the grainy structure which is not present in the bird feathers . mostly visible in head ,neck , feet and bill .
can only guess .... you might have used the structure slider in LR . or something similar . this slider or kind of in other software is a big NO NO . as it does create that crunchy look .... imho .

I really hope you see in your image what I am talking about . again just my personal taste

    cheers Andreas

Hi Andreas, thank you for coming back and explaining in detail what you are seeing. Looking at the image I can see exactly what you describe. I'll discover what is causing it. It is not clarity, texture any of those sliders in Lightroom because I do not use them. I think it is sharpening and noise reduction. When I find the cause I will repost.

Good exposure and colours here Joe. The pinks are very well rendered. The OP looks good to me as posted, but can see what Andreas points out as it may be even more evident in larger sizes. Repost is too noisy. I do wish the wings were even lower, but realize they can sometimes fly without fully flapping their wings to the max.
