hi Jon .... this does look way better in terms of body posture and shooting angle .
again nicely processed in terms of color and tone .... love the color palette in the subject . a good range of detail .
asking myself why does it not show the same amount of sharpness ( at least IMHO ) as i.e. the puffin image ????
nice work Jon
tfs Andreas
Beautiful bird, and best of all, flying toward us! everything looks fine but for the crud in the water.
with love, artie

Andreas I think the answer lies in the fact that it is different circumstance. This bird was flying at some speed - I don't know......say 50-60kph and the puffin wasn't flying. The puffin was also larger in the frame so there would be considerably more detail to view. There is an expression in English: apples and pears (it means similar but different)
Jon i do understand the different situations and the potential different feather structure ... I would try to sharpen the bird more , to see if one can get more sharpness .just a thought
