A lovely shot of this fst-flying youngster. The surf provides a nice context.
Agree with Bill here. Love the in flight pose, BG, sharpness & colours. Just wondering if you could clone out the yellow patch, bottom right, as it's drawing my eye to it.
Bird is nice and sharp, unfortunately the bird is moving away from us a bit. Still nicely managed.
Hi Jon, a tern I have not seen before. I love the colors on the bird. Ocean color so much different than here. Thank you for sharing.

hi Jon .... this version looks better
overall you did well with the processing as the subject does look quite good . I do really like the color rendering . and the tones are processed nicely .
technically a pretty good flight shot and I would have taken this as a good one .... but meanwhile I try to look also for the angle , albeit maybe not as strict as the ´specialists ´here .
so i also do find the angle not ideal , but ok . the North Sea looks really murky , or is it somewhere in a harbor .
I think the image can go a bit brighter

It's the Irish sea, just off the River Mersey, I have others I appreciate angle not ideal for some ... more to follow.
when are the Otters from Mull coming .... hope you went for them and not only for the feathered friends
sorry to hear .... as I am thinking to shoot the Otters one day in the near future .
but due to my shoulder issues it will be not this year .
