hi folks .... time to dig through really old stuff .
image taken back in 2014 in Southern Africa , Gabriela knows where
was a rather dull day at time of shooting , regardless of that I pushed the image to where I like it to be Jon .
some clean up to get rid of unwanted dried plants

    ef 200 - 400 is l
    beanbag

    f 4,5 ; iso 640 ; 1/400 sec , today I would not use this shutter speed

processed with dpp4 and pscc 2022 , cropped for comp to about 75 % of ff

thanks for watching and commenting to my previous posting

    cheers Andreas

This is super special Andreas and I really like the POV. Very sweet little one, great timing, love the pose with those two feet above the ground, running and munching same time

Colours spot on, lovely tones, detail not bad for the relatively low SS. I know, today you would have pushed that ISO big time, probably more DoF too

Whew, this was eight years ago. Feels like yesterday. Time flies, Boetie...Glad you remembered those days and some special moments with our wildlife. Your image brings back fond memories - thank you so much for sharing, I really appreciate it.

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

Lovely timing with the raised feet, and the way he's positioned the grass in his mouth is almost as if it was put there by the photographer! I'd have liked him slightly lower in the frame, and on this occasion I like the slower shutter speed - the face is sharp and a little movement in the feet isn't always a bad thing

What a cute little fellow he is! Great timing, his head as mentioned is plenty sharp enough. I did consider flipping the image horizontally but then he appears a little too high in the frame. He looks pretty cool as he is.
Colour saturation - a little high for me.

I love the action in this image and the raised feet add to that really well. The low angle and bits of protruding grass all add to a wonderful result. I find it really hard to capture how fun and cute these little creatures are however you have nailed that in this image

placed him a bit higher in the frame , to leave him room to walk into . that was my thinking about the comp

thanks Jon , canīt follow your flipping thoughts .... in the past others also asked to flip images which I never understood , must be me . taking your color thoughts ... into my thoughts , I like it .

The idea I had was that he is inclined to his right but he was on the left I just wondered if it would look better the other way around with him looking into more space but it didn't work.
