    Default Poplar hawk moth (Laothoe populi)

    I got my moth trap out last night and was lucky enough to attract three of these moths. Quite large in size varying from 6.5 to 9cm wingspan. It is interesting to not that the adults do not feed, they exist on fat reserves generated as caterpillars.

    Hand held Focus stack ISO 200 f2.8 ( I take 20 images with at Focus differential 3; using as many as required probably 8-10)
