A skimmer from this morning while out with some of my NWPLI friends. I got up too early to be able to think of a snappy title right now. ;)

Lovely wings and low angle. Not an easy image to capture. The wave is a little distracting but the wings overpower the wave.

Excellent exposure, sharpness, and wing position Grace! Don't mind the wave too much. Thanks for posting!

Lovely wings you got here. Nothing overpowering about the wave and part of where the bird lives :)

We'll let you off the hook for the bad title since the image is so stunning. :D I really like your choice of comp here and you did a beautiful job on the exposure.

Wave doesn't bother me at all. I love the up swept wings and the great exposure.

Excellent exposure, wonderful timing on the up wings there.
Wave helps frame and show sense of surroundings. I like it.

The wave is part of environment, and nature, well done.

Nice catch of the moment. The good light really lit up the bird. Waves is part of environment and dun bother me. :)

Really a nice capture Grace! You sure nailed the exposure and had a great light angle. I can see Maxis's point about the wave, as it does draw some attention away from the bird....but I like it in this image, as it cotributes to the environmental composition IMO. The wave is just soft enough to telegraph the artistic intent. I wouldn't change a thing.

Great wing position, exposure control, and details. How about 'lazy skimming'? :)
