Hi folks ... I was thinking what to post to celebrate my first milestone on BPN , must it be special ??? or is something that I do come across while searching my archive ???
finally I ended up by stumbling over an image that is not a classical stunner , imho, in the first place . but I liked it and with posing . as I do not have that many clear action shots of this species .
shot was taken in Zambia back in 2019 in the south luangwa np

    canon eon 1dx ii
    ef 200- 400 is l at 526 mm
    hh

    f 6,3 , iso 5000 , 1/2500 sec

processed with dpp 4 nd pscc 2022 , cropped from landscape to portrait so I have thrown away a lot of data

thanks for looking and commenting to my previous postings
    cheers Andreas

Hearty congrats Andreas on your 1000th thread! Wow. Amazing work.
Reg the image, I like it! Great action and techs to capture it. The running pose, the duel for the meat and bone is super cool. They are tough to capture as they are always on the move.

Very nice action shot, enjoyed viewing. So typical of those chaps. Good POV and thoughtful techs, well processed. Wishing you many more sightings and I hope you keep delighting and entertaining us with your images, once again Congratulations Boetie

I like this Andreas, the picture tells a story, well focused and sharp, colours look spot on.

I find these guys so difficult to photograph well however this ticks all the boxes for me. What an action packed result from what looks like fairly dull and challenging conditions
