    Andreas:

Excellent POV. Nice display of preening activity . Soft light shows the finer details well.

I might consider a bit of a crop from the right, and clean up a couple of the dark OOF areas on the left foreground, but personal choice.

Good details and nice low angle. Good job with the overall bright setting you had. Although I am OK with the comp as is, I do agree with some FG clean-up. Is that a feather clump (down feathers) in the bill?

Looks great to me, I am ok with the detritus - I would expect to see it.

thx folks for your comments , much appreciated .

I am fine with the crop , understand your thinking about the cluttering in the fg and actually thought about removing it , but was just too lazy to do it .

@ Daniel , yes that is down feather in the beak

Hi Andreas, nice side view of the duck I am not familiar with. Interesting feather pattern, I like the down in the bill. I am okay with the foreground, I think sometimes because we can we sanitize our images too much. Thank you for sharing.

Very nice.....I've been photographing Eider for years and I reckon you got this one spot on....Great POV....the eiderdown in the mouth adds so much...A slightly better HA would take it up a notch.....you captured the moment perfectly here Andreas....

Great view of this bird. Detail and exposure are great. Bird's attention is elsewhere, but the fuzzy bit is fun. I also appreciate the low angle, so good work on that!
