This is beautiful, Jon. Love the clarity and detail as well as colours. Nicely composed. Very well exposed. Flowers such a nice touch!
Works for me as presented, thank you so much for sharing

    Warmest regards,

Hi Jon, love the image. Such an interesting bird. Your rendering looks spot on to me, the flowers add to the composition. Thank you for sharing.

P.S. I photographed a Razorbill in Florida. The winter of 2012, after Hurricane Sandy destroyed the east coast, for a unknown reason Razorbills were being reported off the coasts of Florida. It would seem the storm must have dislocated them. I think this is a young bird, it doesn't have the white markings on the head and bill as yours does. Please excuse the IQ, I didn't have the best equipment at the time but I was enjoying the time spent.

Thank you Gabriela, much appreciated. I have lots of images to post from Mull but I am a little reluctant at the moment because I am still waiting for software to be fully compatible.
Jo, pleased you liked it, thanks for the reply, that does indeed look like a juvenile, he still looks in good condition despite his long journey - I wonder how long it took to cross the Atlantic?

so cool that you got so close to the razorbills , Jon .
have seen them flying around Helgoland in may , but no chance for good images .
apart from the head angle , I do think this is working great ....for sure you could try to extract more from those whites . but I think that is somehow picky .

wondering what support you are waiting for .... even dxo does support om1 files since the beginning of June , at least as far as I know .

I am pretty disappointed, yes should have been by Spring, then before summer then in June but not 1st June now sometime in July. It is supported if you buy DXO full suite....but I bought DxO PureRaw. Apparently they are waiting for the lens and converters to supply the profile for the 150-400mm with the MC14 and MC20. Meanwhile of course they could have launched the OM-1 and the other lenses for DxO PureRaw.

you seem to expect wonders from that piece of software , that you holding the images back .... it is only one step in the process , where you not even any influence what this software is doing to your images .

Jon, They breed in Atlantic Canada, and even on Machias Seal Island. So need need to cross the ocean, I believe. I like the setting but the bird is looking away from us.
