Meet Bob
This Northern Bobwhite Quail is another addition from our trip to Santa Clara Ranch, TX.
They responded beautifully to audio and the males would get very defensive when played - darting back and forth in a roused/aggressive posture, making the whole experience a blast.

LR and PS, NI for noise. Removed a couple blemishes from foreground and chose to leave a few small colorful imperfections as a matter of personal/natural taste.
This is an excellent image of a bobwhite, great exposure, sharpness and head turn. Background looks awesome. I had two coveys that came to my bird feeders but have not seen them in a couple of years. They are very entertaining to watch.
One more well done photo from Sump. Well done Brian love how the background colors go so well with the feathers. I personally love the oof green vegetation in the background. Raised foot also helps. Bird is nice and sharp. TFS
Lovely shot. Bright, clean and tack sharp. The raised foot with the falling bits of soil speaks action and makes up for the other missing foot. Great BG.
Super shot Brian great display super pose and low angle, couldn't really ask for better.
I presume due to the recording... this would be frowned upon greatly in an RSPB reserve here in UK. Personally I feel if done to a very limited extent I don't see the harm but if repeated continually/protracted just so the photographer gets an image well I think that is a different story.

I love the dirt getting kicked up by the rising foot. Great low angle, perfect head turn. And of course the ruffled feathers add lots of neat texture. Audio sure works well when it does.
