This Tiger sighting is from my recent trip to Bandhavgarh in May 2022. This is the dominant male in the area and has sired several litters over the years in Bandhavgarh. Sighted this male late evening , though the light was decent but the pond was at a distance so I was on a TC but he chose a different area to appear on the scene , which was not that distant from where we were positioned but I had no time to remove the TC, hence a bit tight overall and so I also had to stretch the canvas in front of him.
Haseeb I am not surprised he is the dominant male he really is huge, a real monster. I suppose it was he who deposed the big old boy with the big scar in his nose.
Eye contact is good, pose pretty reasonable, it is unfortunate the feet are missing but you get what you are given.
Indeed a beautiful Tiger in such superb condition, what an awesome sighting!
Frame is well exposed, nice DoF, BG is great and I like that bit of reflection at the top. Colours look good to me/ natural, love those eyes.
The stretching of canvas shows a bit in the lower right corner. Would have loved to see the feet but I do understand there was nothing you could do, these things happen...
Please share more images of this male if you have, I love those patterns on his coat And he must have huge paws, right?
Thank you Jon and Gabriela, your comments and suggestions are much appreciated. Well, couldn’t have done anything abt the feet, but this guy is huge and a treat to watch. Will share some more images of him .
@Jon - this male didn’t dislodge that previous male that you are referring to, some other tiger did that.
Hi haseeb ... what a nice powerful looking male tiger .
things happening in nature and we have to deal with them , at times , being too close for the long lens .
i do agree he does look a bit squeezed into this frame .... and your adding of canvas is very obvious , you should try to work on your skills
overall image does look good in terms of tone and color .... and I do like the side look in combo with curled tail .
the missing feet are a bit unfortunate .....

sorry for my typing , have only one hand to use .... mtb crash in the woods
Hi Haseeb, what an awesome male tiger! Love the pose and the look given by him. The clean BG is sweet and the exposure is good. Nice colours. I wish I was there, feel sad to have missed that trip! Hopefully in Dec we will catch up.
Sorry, I have been out of action. Busy at work and home front with my daughters exam next month.
