Love the pose, hate the banners (ringers). The black feathers look great with lots of detail (except for the head).

Nice one, Andreas. The blacks and white look really good. The band is what it is, sometimes I get them here with so many on the birds legs that they are impossible to remove. Thank you for sharing.

A bold image quite striking the blacks and whites appear well controlled but the reds/oranges look very bright/saturated to me, I think maybe desaturate the bill and eye slightly. (I appreciate the bird is probably in breeding condition).

Thanks folks for your comments much appreciated ...

@ Arthur .... the banding is not great , but is what it is . As i do not want to win a prize with this image , i left it . The head does show enough detail in the blacks , at least on my screen .
@ Jon .... will check the reds , when i am back home . Nothing special really done to them .

    Cheers andreas

Really great pose here Andreas and the composition draws things toward the eye beautifully.

Love the soft grays with the subtle hint in upper left coming in the frame.

Nicely processed from here, as per usual. The pop of orange on these guys is so nice.

I'm sure it was on a slope but can't help but to feel like it's rotated CCW a little. If a bird is on a slope, are their legs at an angle to vertical or do they compensate?

Thanks Brian ... I will take a look about the rotation , have no idea about the birds leg behavior on a slope .... a good question .
