    These birds are very common here, but I liked how this one posed for me recently. Basic adjustments in acr and ps.

    D500/500PF, 1/1250th sec@f5.6, iso1250, manual mode hh.

    Hi Paul ... love the contrast of the almost B&W bird to the colorful BG .Nice to the the color gradient . Well controlled dark and light tones . Comp works well
    I might just do some more NR to the BG .

    I like this Paul, very striking and a rather different looking image. Lovely details in the dark and light tones, a fine shot well done.

    Hi Paul, what's the Profile set in, in ACR when you import the raw into the raw converter? Is it Adobe color?

    Super sharp and very dramatic. Getting to an all black BGR would require a lot of work and is probably beyond me ... Love the face and breast patterns.
