Really lovely, Jonathan. Bird pops against the more distant background, but the grass provides a nice bit of context/texture. Exposure and details are great. Perfect eye contact as well. Good stuff.

I think one of your best, love the image, jealous it isn't mine. Thank you for sharing, Jon.

Nice one, the boy has finally got his head round what I've being saying... , now don't 'fiddle' keep to your workflow!

Could give the grass a bit more tonal range IMHO.

Well done Jon....All perfect to me....What a great BG you get at that location and it worked big style here.....The DOF shows the bird at its very best and the grass in the bill is a fresh look, from the classic fish pose...Reminds me of the exact same location...Thanks for that....

A gem Jonathan. The composition, pose and pop of color on the subject are tremendous.

Very fine detail throughout. Love the foliage in the beak and the foot popping through the grasses.

As a personal matter, I'd love just a bit more pop from the grasses as I think it could enhance viewing just a touch, but you know us westerners...

Anyhow, a quality image and a joy to view!

Hi Jon ... looks great !!!

Again well processed with lovely fine details and good sharpness .

Just the grass should be tweaked IMHO ... darker and less yellowish , just my take .
