Same location as my previous Bee-eater post, but perched this time. The fast shutter speed is due to the hopeful take off...which this one did, but in the wrong direction. Basic adjustments in ACR and PS. 8x10 crop for presentation. Cheers.

Image does work good in terms of comp and posing .
The light was already quite harsh , I think , so you had to deal with it .
To me a touch to bright within the subject and the dark tones do look lifted and flat , just my take . Sharpness does look good though

Hi Will...thanks so much for the feedback, much appreciated. Funny...I'm always wishing I could visit Scotland again...loved our last visit...such beautiful scenery (landscape photographer's dream) and lots of birds not found here, such as the Red Kite. Cheers.
Such a beautiful bird! Composition are great, and I think the lighting is pretty good. Eye contact is great. The sharpness is almost, almost there.It actually might be there but the processing has rendered the bird the slightest bit crunchy. It might be worth revisiting the work flow as this frame is totally worth a few tweaks to see if you can improve the IQ a bit. But a really nice frame regardless.
Thanks so much Dorian...appreciate the feedback. I did add a touch of selective detail enhancer to the bird, so maybe that's why you see the "crunchiness". I'll take another go and omit that step and see how it looks, but it does look sharp to me though. Cheers.
