    Default Eider Duck ( M)

Hi folks .. thought I post for a change a different species from my trip to Helgoland .
While shooting Grey Seals on the beach , some Eider Ducks landed on the beach right behind me and the next group of seals . Had to move very slowly and patient ... to not spook the Seals and the Ducks . I managed to get both Seals and Ducks .... I was a happy camper once the session was finished .
The wing flap might be not the best one as the Duck s slightly angled away ... but I can live with it , for now .

Beautifully done. Great flap and splash. Love the soft light. I wish that you have been a meter or two to your left.

    with love, artie

Very nice Andreas. Wonderful pose, wing positions and soft lighting. A few degrees head turn towards us would be the icing on the cake. Processing spot on.

Looks great Andreas, the head position is inconsequential for me, in fact I like to see through the nostril for some strange reason.

Beautiful image. I like howe you didn't life the black on the head too much. This looks exactly like it would in the wild. Detail on legs is great. So is splash. I hear Artie's comment about being a bit to the left. That woulda caught a better head angle and shown the far shoulder. Pretty inconsequential though.
