Maybe, maybe not, but it sure was in a great spot in that gnarly old broken tree remnant. I had seen it a couple of weeks prior, and although the nest was pretty cool, the surrounding bare twigs were not. Fast forward a couple of weeks with the leaves coming out, and it gave the scene a whole new life...plus a bonus gosling giving its parents an approval of its digs.
Canon R6 + 500mm f/4 II, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/200s., f/4, ISO 3200, natural light, handheld, FF, a few twigs removed, including a couple of them behind the standing adult's head. A couple of white specks spot-removed on the stump.

Reason: typos and bad grammar
Imagine that printed large......Well captured Dan...waiting that couple of weeks has set a beautiful scene....It's so lovely......and very pleasing to the eye....
Agree on the nest. The greenery helped, and so did the chick talking to momma.
with love, artie

Wasn't sure I was gonna like this from the thumb, but the hole in the foliage really helps the right hand bird pop. It's such an amazing setting, and the little guy adds a nice touch of cute. Such a good in-habitat shot. One of the few times
when I think blue skies/water would have ruined the shot. The silver foreground matches the branches nicely.
Oh it's so beautiful, Daniel!
Sorry for coming in so late, just had to add my thoughts here. Very special image, indeed amazing setting, well seen and captured and PP work is great
