Hi Bill. Congrats on this one, which I like very much. Nice and sharp where it counts, lovely contrasting BG too. I'm so ready for a change to the A1/200-600 combo...just getting the house painted shortly and then saving up again!

Very nice Bill. Good contrast between the blue/greys and the greens behind. Seems to be sharp right on the eyes. So the camera is picking this up at about 30+ mph!coming straight at you.

Now that is dynamic! Face is sharp, and the thrown wings impart a tremendous sense of motion. Exposure, color balance, and detail all look great to me. An amazing result in overcast conditions.

Bill, really a tough shot to get and this one is a beauty!

Very nice detail for any subject, especially a Jay coming head on. Nice, rich green bkg adds for sure.

Might take a look at a 16x9 keeping top and bottom lines where they are, or perhaps play with a touch more on the ends but man, love this one!

Thanks Artie. The guide was indeed a huge help. You recommended that I also get the 1.4X TC, which I had wanted to do and could sorely use. Unfortunately, all sources including B&H and Bedfords show it as out of stock. I fear I may not find one prior to my trip to Botswana in a few weeks.

    Oh, and Happy Birthday!
