Male mountain bluebird, with a spider brought home for one of his families. Canon 500 f4 IS, 20D, 1.4XTC, polarizing filter, eastern foothills of the Canadian rockies.

This one's a beauty. Wonderful pose wth the look over the shoulder and especially the bug. The whites on the belly/lower chest might be a bit hot and the BG seems to be a bit noisy. Some people might want more room in the frame but I don't mind a tight shot.
Lovely image of this Bluebird. I like the pose, color, and great feather details. The spider is a huge bonus. My nits are: The bg is a bit noisy. I think you could have avoided the noise by selectively sharpening the bird only and not the bg. You could also selectively blur the bg. My other nit is with the composition. I would have like it with a little more room on the left and a little less on the right. The tightness doesn't bother me either.
