    This is a rare example where I think minimal DOF really strengthens the image; it puts all our focus on the birds facial expression and makes us gloss over some of the other stuff (bulky perch, background blobs). So, I think it all works pretty well.

    Hey Dan, this is very interesting. Obviously the copious amount of details are certainly quite awesome and the very shallow dof on the head is sort of love/hate.

    I see some merit on this one and do like the pink streak coming down at right, sort of framing the subject. Overall, I think it works.
