Levitating Greater-Prairie Chicken
I'm not sure how I missed this frame on my previous pass, but I'm hella stoked that I didn't toss it!
This is a few frames beyond the flight shot I posted last week. I think this capture is better on all
fronts: better wing position, the head is clear from the wing, the legs are fully extended, and the tail
in better focus etc etc etc.
Canon 600mm f/4 IS II + 1.4x III on EOS R5

I think this is the best of your series .I would suggest you move the bird slightly to the left or add bit more on the right. You sometimes call this trickery, but in this case its worth it. iso 100! is probably missing a nought I reckon.Bird in great condition with that nice sheen on the browns

This is just stunning! The open bill, spread wings, extended feet - all create a perfect image.

I love the tail and feet almost on the same level, looking like it is standing on an invisible surface.
You must have taken a lot of shots to miss this one.
Fabulous shot!

Hi Dorian ... looking good to me !!
Well done .
Personally I might boost some tones within the subject , but it is not a " must " just a matter of taste .

Dorian, really nice frame. Gorgeous light, nice head angle, silky bkg and the calling pose rocks!
Additionally, the dof is great. Rich tones work well from my angle. A really nice frame to view TY!

You're killing it with this subject, you must be very pleased with your visit to the lek! I imagine ISO 100 is a typo.
