    I think if this was cropped tighter in from the LHS it would look better....the OOF dead leaves sort of take my eyes away from the bird......I like the darker BG and the lighting effect on the bird.....Again a great pose and the colours on the bird look good....

    Hi Jon, maybe a new perch, this one is fading away and competes with the bird for me. Also, less is more often, less fur and then we can see more of the bird. Just my suggestions, always enjoy your work. TFS

    I am trying to like this but...
    I think the bird is too obscured by the "nesting" material and the perch is mostly OOF.

    OK thanks everyone, horses for courses as they say. I am going through a phase of capturing nature as I see it and I don't wish to change the scene much as I saw it.

    Yeah, the material kinda overwhelms the bird, unfortunately. Also, what is the material? It doesn't look to be part of the plant. Was it placed there?

    It was sheep wool - placed, he had pulled it to make it all straggly.
