Hi Joe, maybe someone else can chime in: I notice some "blue" cast on the blacks and when it happens to me i'm not sure how to handle it. I like the calling behavior. TFS

Hi Ann, there was some blue in areas of the black feathers. Easy fix in Lightroom or ACR with the new masking tools. Select the subject, intersect it with a color range and pick the black then desaturate until the RBG values are the same or near the same. Here is a repost with the black feathers without the blue. Now to be the Devil's Advocate I ask you which is correct? To go with the colors of the reflected light when the image was captured or to change to what may be technically correct?

I like both versions. Just go with what feels right for you!
My only nit is how close the tip of lower bill is to the branch. I might be tempted to clone that "branch" out but it would be hard to do.
I think the blacks look pretty good. There's always more detail to be shown, but sometimes people obsess over maximizing it in the computer when the bird doesn't appear that way in the field.
I agree with Gail about the bill being too close to the perch. I generally want the bird facing out from slanted branches like this one.
Thanks everyone for viewing and commenting, much appreciated. Here is a edit and repost of the image with the branch close to the bill removed. Thanks again...
