Goldfinch (f) taking the opportunity of collecting nesting material I provided. The image shape/crop wasn't really what I wanted but I think it works to a certain extent.

    Hello Jon,
I've been enjoying your set ups with your garden birds. My only suggestions is for a wee bit more sharpening on the head, and back of neck. If you do have more canvas, the bottom may benefit rather than a cut off leaf and fur, etc, ...

I like the behaviour portrayed with good exposure.
If you have the canvas to work with, I would move the bird higher in the frame, This allows for more room for the bird to "look down into" and might allow the entire lower leaf to be included in the frame.
I would also rotate the canvas a bit CCW to make the perch look more like it is on the diagonal.

Ann, Gail, I note your comments, thank you, I have a similar image which would probably be amenable to your suggestions.

Well captured Jon....Good work....The nesting material sure brings so much to the frame....I may reduce the greens in the BG a wee bit....
