I viewed this at 100% on full screen mode in PSCC... pretty amazing, the fact the tail is chopped off doesn't bother me at all, the attention is all on the body/head. First class detail and colours look ideal. I'll make one suggestion just for the sake of it, how about losing the tiny twig and leaves top right and blend in the two leaves bottom left?

Cheers Jon, agree on the tail.

First class detail and colours look ideal.
It all comes back to the raw as you know Jon, if the raw is sharp then minimal sharpening required and this is PS USM. Can't believe folk change cameras because they say they can't get sharp images from this body.

how about losing the tiny twig and leaves top right and blend in the two leaves bottom left?
Jury is out for me on that one Jon, tried it and then though it just added a tiny splash of colour????? Lets see what other folk think. Always open to suggestions.

    Good afternoon dear Steve,

Great PP work as always and I have no problem either with the chopped tail, just trying to figure out the number of paws, seems like three, but where is the other langur?
Framing looks good and I like the pose from the subject 'nested' in the fork of the tree, cosy spot. Just wish the eye was more visible, but like you always say 'it is what it is and we make the best of it'.
I guess after two years of 'isolation' it is time for you to return to Africa and fill up some hard drives. We have no Polar Bears but a lion or a leopard would do, I suppose?

Hope you have a lovely afternoon, I am finally getting some rest after an incredibly busy week, what a pleasure to sit down with a cup of coffee and browse through the latest images here in the Wildlife Forum!

    Warmest regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

Thanks Gabriela, just needed as I said to get something posted.

This year has a lot of outgoings planned, just putting feelers out for '23 and may have missed the boat re Africa next year, but will give you a heads up. However I think it might be Bots, as Pete keeps asking me to go with him and Jones, the girl guide from Zimanga... who knows what may happen!!!!

Bots sounds good to me. We were discussing a similar trip this evening, kindly look up Mabuasehube and Mpayathutla when you have a chance. Camping only and no fences ... maybe not your cuppa, but certainly mine. Should you decide to visit my 'home ground' please let me know, would love to spend some time with you again

Have a wonderful rest of the week-end... here raining now and temperature dropped to about 18'C, just awesome

Hi Steve -- A difficult subject to frame considering its tail , and also the face is difficult to expose.

Content wise the image is just not grabbing me either but very well processed and captured.

    TFS !
