Hi Jon ... nice natural looking grab shot .
I do like the behavioral aspect you captured and the seeds are nice to see .
Colors looking basically good but think the image does appear a bit dark , here on my screen , from blacks to mid tones . Just my view .... so as a conclusion I would go a lot lighter in the suggested tonal range .

Hi Jonathan. Pretty good for a "grab shot". I like the overall composition...the foliage adds to the environmental aspect, but I agree with Andreas in that the darks need lifting. The bird does appear a little soft to me.
Hi Jon, have to echo the above comments, especially Pauls which highlights the image appearing being soft.

Post Production: It’s ALL about what you do with the tools and not, which brand of tool you use.
Hi Jon, going a little cooler on the Temp, and reducing the magenta, opening up the Exp, starts to reveal far more, what you then do is personal choice. Also I know you like scripts... and for sharpening too, but just some basics PS sharpening pulls put more fine detail.
Just a guide perhaps in direction????

Thanks for the feed back everyone and the repost Steve. I agree a lift of the exposure helps, I was happy with sharpness but I can see better detail in the repost.
That’s sharpening on sharpening, it will be far better on the Master Tiff, or are you still ditching them??? Is this DNG or previous???
