Nicely exposed and focused with nearly all within the DOF.
I would clean up the droppings on the rock.

Hi Jon .... love the bird and its posing !!!
Perfect timing for me and the bird is perfectly isolated from the BG , well done .
Personally I might add more exposure , but exclude the HL from that .
Where is the grain in the BG coming from at ISO 1000 ??

Andreas I think because I do not have fully compatible software yet.

Why are you not using ACR for the time being ....??

Hi Jon, nice image of a bird I am not familiar with. I like the raised wing pose, the rock is a interesting perch. Nice colors and feather detail. Thank you for sharing.

Hi Jon, I too like the pose, is he trying to attract a mate?
I too see the 'grain' that Andreas refers too, but with the new body does the system still extend the DoF ie f/5 equals f/8 in old money? If so a bit more detail in the rock, but overall nothing has the crispness you previously achieved. I would expect with less mega pixel better resolution, especially at ISO1000.
Have you spoken to Olympus and explained the issues??

Jon, convert the Raw file to a DNG, then process in your ‘normal’ way as previously with the older body.
Im around if you want to shout across…

Cute bird in a neat pose. I like the perch anchored the whole length of the bottom edge. The cleaned up rock on the repost is much more appealing - so is the noise reduction. Always fun to learn with new gear eh!
