    Hi folks this time the male of the Sparrows .... would have wished a more eye level angle , but was not possible , was already stating on a chair

    Canon EOS R3
    EF 500 IS L II + 1,4 TC
    HH

    F 8 ; Iso 1600. ; 1/2000 sec ; man exp

    Processed with DPP 4 and PSCC 2022 ; cropped to 75 % of FF ; little gardening in the lower image part

    Colours and feather details are first class as are the feet. I like the background, the fluffed up appearance is a good example of behaviour. Whilst the branch is not terribly exiting it is entirely compatible with the habitat and is where one might "expect" to find a sparrow.

    I do agree about the perch not being excited , but no setup nor baited . So options are limited ...
    This couple was lurking around an artificial nesting house ... just in front the building at my working place , sadly he could not keep the female there . Yesterday and today he was calling high up in that tree ... but she seem to be gone .

    Lovely shot, nice puffy feathers. Brings back childhood memories as they were a plentiful introduced bird in the back yard.
    I would occasionally raid a nest for a few eggs and fry them in a little campfire- tasty!

    Your idea with the eggs , is not a good one , as this species is somehow " endangered " here in my country . And I would never ever do that ... even if they would be not endangered .
