    I took out the extremely ugly power pole upon which she was alighting by cropping down about 50% .
    grateful for c& c .
    For some reason the thread went without me sending it as I was trying to bring the frame down in the box .First non total cloud morning for a while .So then there are none! This lens needs light but very pleased with its ability to stay on the
    subject no matter what.

    Ian:

    Great ventral view, that red eye really draws ones attention. Soft light, well exposed.

    I might consider sharpening the eye/head just a bit.

    It is nice to have a lot of pixels to work with when a crop is needed!

    Well lit and good colours focus is pretty good and IQ not bad at all if this was a big crop - looks pretty good to me too!!

    Thanks for your comment .As these birds have been rare for a while and are pretty choosy I am hoping they will stay on and breed here in our Southern spring.

    Nice golden light and open wing pose. Those pesky utility poles eh!! Glad you are enjoying the lens.
