    Hi everyone,

I just got back from a quick trip to Bangladesh. I was there to visit my family. I tried to squeeze in some birding too. Thick fog in the morning and evening made for very challenging situations... But I was able to come back with some decent shots.

This was taken about an hour before sunset. The fog had just started to come in, but wasn't too thick. The pratincoles are rather odd looking shorebirds. Instead of probing in the mud, the catch insects in flight. They come to these sand banks to breed. The locals also use these sand banks to grow peanuts! I was lucky that this one chose to land in area where the peanuts plants weren't too dense.

Nice work getting down low Sharif! I like the vegetation in the image, it brings the color. You also managed a nice pose from the subject.

  3. Thanks Sharif Uddin thanked for this post
