Hi folks ... this was freezing at around 35 degrees Celsius , helped herself out by using the water Lillys to keep her warm ..... well my story with hindsight .
Wish I could have avoided the hump on the left hand side , kind of difficult as I was again out of the car and did not want to move around that much ... as there was quite some animal activity at that pond .

Superb love the colours, my only suggestion would be to disguise/eliminate what ever it is to the right of the smaller hippo, same for the water droplet specular highlight on the left.

Would agree Andreas on both your own & Jon's observations, plus I would loose the green cast in and around the mouth. You could have moved, albeit very slowly IMHO, but... A tad more below would not hurt.

Thanks Jon and Steve for your comments and feedback .
As always matter of taste of what to remove or not ... i decided to leave the Jacana there , but could be removed . The lighter blob does not matter to me and stays .

Steve - i could have removed the green tint/cast , but left it as it is a reflection from the plants . If wished easy fix ... will think about it .

    Hello Andreas,

Quite a frame filler, those two Really like the vegetation and vibrant colours here. Sorry about the blurry bit on the LHS, oh well it happens...I would not dare try fix it...

Nice detail on Mommy hippo, great pose, love the green bits all over her. The Jacana would go if this was my frame, draws the eye too much.

I do like this a lot and it was fun to view... I also know you did your best Boetie, in the field as well as PP. Great colours, BTW.

Hope you have a wonderful Sunday and looking forward to more fun frames from you,

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

Excellent image Andreas -- I loved the low POV and the details are superb. Well processed and framed.

    Loved this one.

Thanks Gabriela and Haseeb for your comments , much appreciated .

Gabriela ... was thinking about the Jacana , but thought I let him stay ... as it does not go onto the wall or anywhere else

    Cheers Andreas

What a cool image off the Hippos ! Super low angle is sweet and the vegetation on the hippos is awesome. Nice framing and good techs as usual.
