    Joe:

Dramatic pose, classic prehistoric face always makes me smile. I like the exposure, good DOF.

I suspect you did a selection of the subject for some of your adjustments, as there are a few brighter areas between some of the primary feathers. Could of course be lighter vegetation, but it caught my eye.

    Nice comp.

    Cheers

Hi Randy, thank you for viewing and commenting. You are correct regarding the light areas between the primaries. I had darkened the background, and missed those areas. I have corrected and reposted the image.

    Joe:

Looks better. I have had the same thing happen, so tend to check that particular spot on all my processed images!

    Cheers

Hi Joe ... nice flight pose on eye level, works well IMHO.
A bit tricky with the pale sky , but I think the image needs to go brighter in the subject and the WB is not ideal , in my book .

Nice flight pose. I do find the twig above the back to be just a little distracting. I agree with Andreas about the image brightness. I think reworking that could improve this. Still nicely done!

Well focused and good pose , perhaps the subject is carrying a little too much blue?

Hi Joe, you did well with the subject angled and the DopF looks good. I'm guessing light wasn't ideal based on you going ISO1600, or was that due to upping the SS? Good you got the subject just below the sky/vegetation line. Getting a better WB may help and so the green of the vegetation is a bit richer and the subject a bit more punchy, but all subjective. If you do choose to review it again, I would loose the white diagonal stick hitting the throat.
