Another Short-eared Owl image from late January before I received my Z9. I find this one appealing to me as it has kind of a surrealistic look.

Beautiful light and wings up pose! Love that gradient BG and gaze at the ground searching for food.

Nice light here, and beautiful BG. Warm tones throughout, and the bluish strip above works well. Sharp. Great view of the near wing. I kinda wish we could see at least a bit of the far eye as well. A thin cloning strip visible lower-left corner.

Jack, quite lovely. Gorgeous light and the subject pops nicely against the smooth, dark bkg.

Wing pos is satisfactory and I like like downward facing hunting pose. Valid point on either more profile view of the head or a touch of the opposite but man, I'd have this in my files any day of the week.

I also like the placement in the upper 1/2 of the frame, that works great. Well done sir.
