This hare was hunkered down, it was still snowing slightly along with squally showers, pretty miserable for him I guess.

Hi Jon ... glad you got a close shot . Framing looks good
But this is not working for me .... the head angle is not ideal and the one visible ear is not in a nice position .
Not much you can do about the busy BG .

Colors and tone are looking good overall .... personally I would remove the blue /cyan completely from the subject , quite obvious to me .

I hear you Andreas regarding blue/cyan but I am not sure I see it.

Hi Jon -- Agree with Andreas , the settings are not ideal with that heat haze i guess is obstructing the details . pretty tough settings i must say.

Colours do look better in Andreas's version subtle but makes difference.

Hi Jon, nice subject and good low angle but that twig inferno and the head angle is not ideal.

    Dear Jon,

This is one cute little fella and although he looks rather unhappy - probably due to weather conditions - I love the expression from him, it's rather cute... so well seen and captured

Framing looks good but the busy BG a little problematic IMO. As well as the grass blade in front of the subject - perhaps removing it might make a difference, what say you?

Nice POV and colour cast sorted in the RP... I find the blacks a bit strong ( too much contrast on face/eye and ear?)
Thought techs looked good... but maybe you should be more careful with those chaps, the nose twitching habit might require more SS, just my thoughts

On a more personal note, I feel so guilty for not processing anything in some time and not posting ... work takes up all of my time at the moment. Enjoying the little bit of time I can find to view and comment here, so thank you so much for sharing - much appreciated!

    Warmest regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

Sorry Jon, the eye isn't sharp, there is no detail and so it's a none starter for me.

When do you get the new camera body?

Thanks everyone I appreciate your comments, I agree the eye isn't pin sharp but considering the conditions I thought acceptable, I appreciate that is a contradiction but hey I was glad to get an image that had a reasonably large subject.
Steve you will have gathered I have the new camera, yes I am delighted with it.
