    Default Crested tit (Lophophanes cristatus)

Hand held image captured in woodland in the Cairngorms, out in the open no hide/cover, but the birds were baited with seeds.

Focal length in 35 mm film : 601.0mm
    Exposure mode : Manual exposure
    ISO : 2500
    Exposure compensation : 0.0 EV
    Shutter : 1/640 sec
    Aperture : F4

The background may look a little detailed to some but I left it like that to help illustrate the wet/snowy windy situation. The whites look bright on the under surface but they are not blown.

Hi Jon, I agree with Andreas, very nice image. Nice background, perch and rendering of the bird. Thank you for sharing.

Ah, much better perch than the more recent image you posted. I only wish it would have been setup more parallel to the camera. Great little subject, nice and sharp! I'm OK with the BG as well.

Ditto Daniel's comment about perch not parallel. Otherwise no nits from me. Lovely little bird well detailed, nice perch, good BG.

Hi Jon, cracking shot of a wee Crestie, nice to have the crest up too.

Perhaps a tad more DoF for the perch, I just find the sharpness of the subject and then the perch all OOF, just jars a little, a bit more transition???? Like the BKG but would clone the white blob on the LHS.
