I spent a too-quick hour at a large Magellanic Penguin colony as part of a general nature tour while I was in Punta Arenas. It was really difficult to isolate one bird from the thousands, and
people wandering in every direction complicated the quest for clean frames. The tour guide who was forcing us to move quickly didn't help either. Regardless, it was a pretty amazing experience!
Also, it took a while to get the gallery together, but here is a link to my favorite frames of 2021. My flight work took a huge hit with my local shorebird spot being closed the whole year (and 2022 and
2023 -- f*ck f*ck f*ck!!!!), but the collection is a nice representation of what I experienced around the US and in Chile.
