    Joe:

Love the raised foot with splash, angle in the frame and exposure. I see a bit of a yellow cast, may have been local conditions.

You could consider a bit off the bottom of the image.

Reds are one of my favorites.

    Cheers

Hi Joe ... good running action shot of this Heron .
Looks almost like a painting with the " blurry " reflection ???
Any work done to the FG and BG .... ??

Hi Andreas, I captured this image a little over a year ago on a overcast day with on and off showers, very flat light with almost no wind. The light was so flat I could not get any separation of the bird from the background using global adjustments. With the new masking abilities in Lightroom I masked the subject then inverted the mask to mask all of the background and foreground. I lowered the exposure on the background, also lowered the clarity to smooth the background. The different exposure between the subject and the background moved the bird out of the background being brighter than the background, not much but enough to trick the eye. I don't mind the image appearing painterly, kind of like the look. Thank you for viewing and commenting.

Here's another with the same treatment.

Agree with comments ab one, specially about taking some off the bottom. It feels to high in the frame. But love the raised foot and pose you managed.
