Default Stately Stork in the Sinking Sun,,,

    Attached Images Attached Images

EOS R6 RF 100-500 @500 f10 1/2000 ISO 5000 HH, manual EXP, small crop for portrait composition.

Created as the sun was about to disappear on the western horizon. Was setup for flight when this beauty(well, in the eye of the beholder) landed briefly nearby. Could have gone with lower ISO but knew EXP was correct and sure enough flew right after back to nest.

You have managed to do this 'er 'not so attractive bird a great service .I am on the way to being converted ,but as the only one I have seen is the Marabou in Africa I can't see how you could do better .Good detail in the ,to me ,perfect whites at that ISO.

What a pretty fellow, from the neck down! Nicely done and I like the setting sun reflected in the eye.

Hi David, beautiful bird, so unique. The detail in the white feathers and lighter parts of the head look good. On my display the blacks looked choked and some parts clipped. Neat bird, thank you for sharing.
