    Default Curious Emerald Eyed youngster...

This young cormorant was preening on a low level branch, as I approached the preening was momentarily interrupted for a curious glance and then back about it's business. Created in cloudy late afternoon.

Thanks, as always for valued inputs on previous post.

Killer detail, and I like how you got the beautifully-edged back feathers as well. You could have used another stop of depth of field to keep the entire neck in focus, but we're so
drawn to the eye that I think it's a pretty minor issue. I would like a bit more all around as he's pretty tight in the frame.

Very, good, one of your best. Great detail and exposure, soft tones contrasting with the eye and the beak.

Hi David, you nailed this one. Beautiful head shot, good exposure, nice detail on the feathers and eye, pure background. Nice work, thank you for sharing.

Solid portrait with lots of nice details. A great look at that eye indeed. I agree with Dorian about more room. Looks like you had a bit of backlighting here, but it works rather well I must say.
