    Default Black-faced Ibis (Chile)

    Doesn't get much better than this badass bird. It took two weeks of trying until one would let me get close enough for a decent shot, but this frame really forgave the wait!

    Taken on Tierra del Fuego at the southern end of the country.

    Canon 600mm f/4 IS II + 1.4x III on EOS R5
    1/3200 at f/5.6, ISO 640

    I would try to squeeze out more detail from the dark tones , if this was mine ... but no deal breaker .

    Wow Dorian, this looks pretty amazing! Great bird, perfect low angle, and the vegetation adds tons of positive interest. A new bird for me, glad you posted this!
