    Hi folks ... nothing exciting in terms of action or BIF and even shot in harsh African late morning light , but the plumage is quite interesting with all the patterns and not to forget the color head , IMHO .
    These guys are funny creatures on all counts ... mostly noisy .

    Image taken around a waterhole in arid Botswana ..... a place called Nxai Pan .

    Looks pretty good to me. The back leg being in shadow doesn't bother me nor the few shadows on the neck.

    Nice pose, good detail and nice BG as well. The head on these birds looks awfully small compared to the body LOL. Nice work Andreas!

    I don't mind the harsh light as you call it; bird cracks in the light surrounds. Excellent exposure and detail - love the legs! The bird is so interesting that the shadowed leg hardly matters. Really like the crop/composition.
