I nailed this big brown beast while crossing from Punta Arenas to the Magellanic Penguin colony on Magdalena Island.
Superficially similar to Brown and South Polar Skuas, this species is easily distinguished by its rufous wing linings. I'm
sure this individual feasts on penguin and gull chicks when it's not patrolling the surrounding straights.
