Another frame from my desert outing. I followed this bird for over an hour. He never gave me a clear shot while foraging among the desert creosote. The only clear view I had was when he would go to the top of his favorite tree to sing occasionally, but the due to the height of the tree the shooting angle was rather steep. While this is not the cleanest frame, I like the way the branches frame the bird. I removed a stray branch from top right. Also I tried not to sharpen it too much.

Beautiful image Sharif. Bird is sharp, BG colour contrasts nicely with the bird and I like the flora. I can also see a version with more off the top and bottom. Minor nit is the oof tail, and also it's covering the foot. A few degrees head turn towards us would be ideal IMHO. Overall a lovely composition.

Good colours nicely detailed and sharpened (Embedded profile is Adobe RGB - not sRGB)

Great image and processing looks great sharpness and colors. Most of these small birds on a constant move and hard to capture. Your perseverance paid off TFS.

These birds are small and fast, so I appreciate the effort that went into this frame. The image is technically sound (lighting, color, detail, etc), but the pose and crop not working for me. If i'm going to miss the tail, I want it to be behind the bird; as it is, OOF and coming straight at us, I find it really distracting. As for the crop, I imagine you wanted to keep the entire stalk on the left hand side. My problem is that the top of the frame feels really empty otherwise. You get major effort points for getting this bird in a completely natural setting (versus a set-up), but I'm just not sure the foliage allows for a favorable composition.
