One more from Nebraska last Spring. Thanks for all the comments and help on the previous post. This is a setup Cedar tree added for a perch. Cloned out the branch in front of bird to shorten up as it was distracting so close to the face. Processed with Dpp 4. Topaz noise, Photoshop. For some reason my post look warmer or brighter when I post compared to processing. This was shot at 7.43 AM
    Comments and critiques appreciated.

This is the best of the series! Love the calling pose and the head turn. I also like the perch. And the light is exquisite! To me it seems like the whites on the throat a little hot. You may be able to get some more detail by selectively burning that area. Overall a really great image!

Agree with Sharif here. I think it would make a lovely postcard! I put your image into camera raw and was able to recover some of the highlights...so maybe worth a try. As far as being warmer/brighter after posting this may be due to your monitor needing to be calibrated?

I agree with Sharif - this is really great! The leafy perch is far more interesting than the bare stick, and you really nailed the calling pose and head angle. I might turn the throat down a bit as it looks a little hot (granted 'm viewing on my laptop at the moment! Not a huge fan of the boxy crop. Would love more to the left is you have it. That BG is so clean that the subject is gonna crack even with a wide view.
