Hi folks ... nothing fancy , the Goose gave me the opportunity to shoot a closer shot .
Light completely flat ... but I love the details showing up and the fine color / tone changes within the plumage .

Shot at local lake while resting on a wall .

Andreas, is the head slightly turned towards the viewer hence the difference in perceived sharpness?

Excellent exposure and detail. Looks great for the high ISO -- minimal crop really helps on that front!

I think you could use a bit more room on the left hand side; the beak is really close to the edge as presented.

I also wish for a bit more DOF on the breast as the closest/central bit is slightly OOF.

Overall a nice portrait. Well done.
